It’s a Faith Walk

Well… I assume that most of you have heard the news that Aaron and I are planting a brand new church in Hendersonville, TN.  We leave San Antonio in June and the first Sunday at Restoring Hope Church is 9.14.14.  It is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.  Aaron has been telling me for a year that this was coming, and the more he said it, the more I said “NAH”…  Well, God has a way of making us surrender.

To say that we have it all figured out would be a stretch of the truth, but day-by-day, God is showing us the steps to take.  That old song “One day at a time, Sweet Jesus” is coming to our mind over and over.  It is a faith walk!

Isn’t that what life is supposed to be about?  I mean, if we have everything in our own ability, then where is the room for God?  I think sometimes He calls us out into the impossible, and then makes it possible for His glory to be shown.

Whatever God has called you to do, do it!

Know that it won’t be easy, and not everyone will believe in you.  Good!  You continue to keep your eyes on the master, and walk it out.  Do what you say, say what you mean, love people like Jesus loves you, and walk it out.

After all, it is a faith walk!

God called my wife and I to plant a church a little over ten years ago now. There’s been times when, ” Well my faith may have got a little then ” but praise God, He not only brought us to it, but He brought us through it. God is so good.

Once we truly accept Christ as our Lord and Savior the the rest of our life’s journey is a faith walk! You and Aaron have an amazing call on your lives and God has blessed you with everything you’ll need to accomplish what He has called you to do. My thoughts and prayers go with you and your family.

I so needed this post. I am EXACTLY in the same condition professionally where being scared to make a wrong move means making no moves at all. I know that’s not what Jesus wants nor what I want. Please pray for me as I move forward this year by God’s grace and strength.

Amanda, thank you so much for your comments today. Sometimes it is hard to believe what God is asking us to do but if we walk in His spirit and walk it through it will amaze us sometimes where we go. You and Aaron will be great pastors and will have a great church. One day, we will drive down and visit your church and your guys. We would love to do that. Love you and pray for you.

We live in Hendersonville and have been looking for a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led church that teaches the Word (not a feel-good sermon) for two years! Come on! There are a whole bunch of Sumner Countians waiting for just such a church! I will spread the word!

Please email me where its going to be. We have experience in a variety of ministries – my husband has done cameras and A/V. I have taught women’s classes, started a food pantry and clothes closet ministry, began and taught a women’s jail Bible class for 4 years, sang in the choir, and many other things.

I learned long ago that if you never step out in faith and attempt something that you can’t do in your own power, you will never experience the MIGHTY power of God working in your life! Thank you for being obedient to the Spirit and to God!!

So excited to see how this all plays out. I know God will give you all you need, one step at a time. You are so right when you said, “He calls us out into the impossible, and then makes it possible for His glory to be shown.” I’ve seen it play out in my own life over and over. Praying for you both!

I love how you shared your heart! I’ve seen first hand How God has helped you both overcome unspeakable obstacles. I believe in you and more importantly in the faithfulness of our God!!! “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6 BOOKS) ! Stand on his promises.. Love you much!! Bev

Truth is, I’m tired options are few. God called me into the Ministry when I was 16 years old, I am 20 now and am starting next week my first semester in New Orleans seminary. I am weak and miss my family more than words can say… My soul refuses to give up. I know this is where I’m supposed to be right now it’s I hard to take that Faith Walk… Thank you Amanda for encouraging me to do it no matter what!! Your ministry is moving in an unimaginable way and you will never know how much Jesus just used you to speak directly to me. I love the Crabb family and admire all of your dedication to our King. I just recently met Jason at the POA. Hope to meet you guys one day too!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!

That is really exciting news. God’s Blessings as you move forward, following His leading. There is nothing like serving our Lord Jesus and being in His will, especially when the two of you are in unity.

I can so relate! Next Tuesday we are starting a new service at our church. One purpose is for this service is to have an option for those who cannot attend on Sundays, another is to reach more souls. It’s scary and exciting all at once. Yes, it is a faith walk! Blessing to you and Aaron and all your endevors for the sake of the Kingdom of God!

How awesome is your blog! I will miss you and Aaron so very much at Cornerstone Church. But, you are so right, our walk is by faith in all we do. I needed to be reminded about this today and your blog did that for me.

May God continue to bless you all in all you do!
    Love, Maria Calvillo and family

Good morning Amanda I too was led by God to move out of my home state to the unknown. My husband was the one God first dealt with and I had to seek God since I would have to quit my job of 15 years to go to a new state where we did not have jobs, family or friends. I can tell you that now looking back he has supplied every need. Our moved has been used to help many people. God truly has a plan and he will take care of you and your family. Only those willing to go where he leads can get his best blessings.
